Elif Sıla Erciyas

Welcome to my personal website! I’m Elif — a final-year pharmacy student on track to receive my MPharm degree. 

My current research interests focus on translational immunology, with the goal of deepening my understanding of the complex interactions between the immune system and tumor cells. With this knowledge, I aspire to contribute to developing novel cellular immunotherapies, as well as cancer vaccines and synthetic components to modulate immune responses. 

I enjoy approaching scientific problems from a holistic and interdisciplinary perspective, and in my future research, I aim to draw from fields such as genetic engineering, biotechnology, systems and synthetic immunology, and machine learning.

As a pharmacist, I’m also driven to address the manufacturing and cost-related challenges of immunotherapies, with the aim of making them more accessible, scalable, and impactful for patients worldwide. 

Furthermore, I hope to integrate my strong clinical background into research, including clinical trial design and management of adverse events, to help improve patient outcomes.
