Welcome to my personal website! I’m Elif — a final-year pharmacy student on track to receive my MPharm degree, supported by a full merit-based government scholarship.

Over the past four years, I’ve been actively involved in research spanning biochemistry, biophysics, computational biology, and molecular immunology.

My current research interests focus on translational immunology, and I am interested in understand better  the immune mechanisms  against cancer and complex interactions between immune cells and tumor cells. I hope to contribute to the design innovative cellular immunotherapies, inculding cancer vaccines, and synthetic components to modulate immune responses.

My current research interests focus on translational immunology, and I want to better understand the complex interactions between the immune system and tumor cells. With this knowledge, I hope to contribute to the development of novel immunotherapies — including cancer vaccines and synthetic components to modulate immune responses. I also aim to explore explore the mechanisms underlying different therapeutic outcomes or lack of response according to different cancer patients and use that insight to help design more personalized treatments.

I love tackling scientific problems through an holistic perspective, drawing from diverse fields to approach complex questions. In my future research, I aim to integrate areas such as machine learning, systems and synthetic immunology, biotechnology, and tumor biology.

As a pharmacist researcher, I’m also equally driven to address the manufacturing and cost-related challenges of immunotherapies — with the goal of making them more accessible, scalable, and impactful for patients globally.  I also aim to integrate my extensive clinical education with my research, involving clinical and phase studies to improve patient outcomes.
